Small Change. Big Difference.

Most of us have been staying in and working from home for the last several months and the sameness of our surroundings can be monotonous. Especially in winter. I know I look for simple ways to spark joy, as the things that usually lower stress levels - going out with friends, concerts or travel - are all on hold at the minute. So I’d like to offer a suggestion to bring a little inspiration, joy, and colour into your life (and in keeping with current guidelines - all from the comfort of your home).

Art!

Aside from filling an empty space or covering that annoying crack in your wall, having artworks in your home is scientifically proven to boost drive, stress reduction, and even offer an escape from the everyday.

Buying prints and paintings online can be tricky, so I’ve complied a few tips to spruce up your space with art:

1. How do you want to feel?

Practical considerations such as the dimensions of the piece and how it will fit into your home is helpful, but also think about how the piece itself will fit into your space.

Are you looking for a whimsical, relaxing watercolour painting to hang by your reading corner? Or perhaps a bright and punchy travel print to welcome you when you walk in the door? Keep in mind how you want the piece to reflect the mood of the room.

2. A refresh is as good as a makeover!

Art is a brilliant way to introduce colour and emotion into your space without the expense of redecorating. A small change really can make a big difference! So think about the key colours in your home and consider prints that work with your theme to enhance the decor of the room.

3. Here to help!
