I opened an art gallery!

I am thrilled to announce the opening of mine and Alina Holyst’s art gallery and architect studio Grēne in the picturesque village of Rostrevor!

Pronounced ‘green,’ ‘Grēne’ means a tone of the color green, an old English word for a hue that holds a very special place for both of us. It reflects our deep-rooted fascination with the landscape and our unique ability to paint or design objects that blend harmoniously with the surroundings.

Alina and I spent months working on the space and transforming it from an outdated estate agent to our dream studio space and gallery. We had so much fun putting our stamp on the building and are thrilled with how it came together.

Grēne is located in the heart of Rostrevor village, the middle of the Conservation Area in an 1840s architectural gem. This building has had many lives! A grocer, hat maker shop, piggery, house, paint shop and most recently an estate agent. Now it will be an art gallery and architect studio! Rostrevor has always attracted and inspired artists and creatives and we hope our studio will add to that rich history.

I am so excited to have a place to show my artwork and connect with people that come in and to eventually run workshops and events in the space! We can’t wait for you to see the space!

The gallery at Grēne is open Saturdays from 1-5pm and by appointment.
