Trusting your inner voice

Are you someone who trusts your gut or do you seek advice from others? So often we look to others for advice. What we should do, how we should feel, what will make us happy, successful, etc. But the only person who knows the answer to those questions is you. Everyones versions of those things is different. Before shutting down my online shop last year I I was desperate for someone to just tell me what to do. What was the magic formula to make everything work? But in reality I didn't need some magical plan for my business, I needed to get back to doing what I love in a way that suits me and my family.

I took a step back, took the pressure off and got off social media for 3 months to listen to my own intuition. Reflecting, journaling, creating, and following what interested me. I feel like stepping away from Instagram was really key because it's hard to listen to your own inner voice with so much noise.

I'm not saying that advice and guidance from others isn't useful… but we shouldn't put it above our own inner voice.

This is just a little reminder to listen to your inner voice. If you haven't for a while it may be just a whisper. Sit with a journal for a few minutes each day and you'll hear her get louder and louder over time.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking.  Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
